Ask to see lesson samples and a timetable. “Online learning” may describe live classes, recordings, independent tasks or a mixture, and the balance changes the pupil experience.

Compare tutor contact, assemblies, safeguarding, learning support, clubs, parent reporting, assessment and routes for raising concerns, not only the subject list.

Look for named leaders, verifiable accreditation, dated results with cohort context, recognised examination pathways, policies and attributed family experiences.

Review participation expectations, time zone, current attainment, support needs, fees and the next qualification or destination with the child’s own perspective included.
